Impeachment Horoscope

We don’t get many chances to check out an impeachment horoscope.

The U.S. House of Representatives impeached President Donald J. Trump on two articles last night after days of wrangling and debate.

There’s been a lot said about the divisiveness and acrimony surrounding the the whole process.

It was, in fact, quite a show. There were plenty of wild scenes and memorable characters along the way.

I suppose we could spend time running down some of those rabbit trails.

But I actually don’t want to go there. Not for now at least.

The Impeachment Horoscope

You see, what’s really interesting to me as an astrologer is the impeachment horoscope.

As I was saying, it’s sort of a rare critter.

Trump is only the third sitting U.S. President get impeached in the entire history of the country. And that’s exactly why this kind of chart is so rare.

Even so, I didn’t expect this horoscope to be quite so striking.

A mundane chart like this, a horoscope of a geopolitical event, can give us remarkable insights into the ultimate hidden significance of the action taking place.

This chart is no exception.

I timed it based on the moment that the electrically-recorded vote in the House passed the threshold needed to carry the motion on the first article of impeachment.

Here’s what it looks like:

Impeachment Horoscope

I’ve labeled some of the key points for easy reference.

Point A is quite striking. Transiting Uranus, the planet of explosions and surprises, was right on the Midheaven at the time the vote passed. That’s a prominent position.

When Uranus was first discovered in the late 1700’s  it was a time of revolution, most notably in France and America.

So Uranus is associated with revolutions, upheavals, and the overthrow of kings or other governmental leaders.

Transneptunian Factors

In this case that planet’s energy is amplified in a T-Square pattern with two transneptunians.

Uranus is square Vulcanus (B) and in opposition to Apollon (C).

Vulcanus is connected with coercive action or an extortionate “offer you can’t refuse.”

Apollon says that this event has a widespread impact, affecting the lives of many people.

The revolutionary theme is picked up by the Moon (D – representing the people as a whole) applying to a tension-provoking square to the Sun (E – representing the ruler).

But what’s really most intriguing is the action at point F. The Part of Fortune, an indicator of true happiness and fulfillment whose position changes minute by minute, conjoined the transneptunian Poseidon at the time of the impeachment vote.

Poseidon is about higher ideals and inspiration.

So it’s an unexpected signal.

The vote in the House was historic.

The conflict was evident.

But it was also a time of ultimate fulfillment.  And perhaps even more.

Maybe the birth of new spiritual ideals.

Ominous Solstice Signals Challenges

Today marks a particularly ominous solstice.

In and of itself, of course, a solstice isn’t especially threatening. It’s not even very rare.

The summer solstice is one of two dates in the annual solar cycle when the Sun seems to stand still.

In the Northern Hemisphere it marks the first day of Summer.

As the “longest day of the year” it provides the greatest amount of daylight compared to the hours of darkness in this 24-hour period.

It’s a time for ritual and celebration, including a gathering at Stonehenge.

But in the Southern Hemisphere it’s the beginning of Winter.

Gann Watched The Solstice Carefully

For traders, especially for those who follow in the footsteps of W. D. Gann, the solstice marks a critical turning point in the annual progress of the markets.

It’s a time when there’s a high likelihood of trend reversals.

That means it can bring big trading opportunities.

And, as I’ve noted in a previous blog post, W. D. Gann gave it special attention each year.

An Ominous Solstice Event

From an astrological perspective, however, not all solstices are created equal.

They are all important turning points, of course. But in each case, we can examine the planetary impact of the solar alignment at the time of the solstice.

And that’s where we start to find challenges associated with this current solstice.

It does appear to be an ominous solstice, indeed.

Consider the position of the solstice itself.

By definition, it’s on the cardinal axis, at 0 degrees Aries and its fourth-harmonic equivalents.

But today’s solstice does more than that.

It also activates Venus in the eighth harmonic.

And even more importantly, it’s exactly aligned with the transiting Saturn/Hades midpoint.

Ominous Solstice 06212017 90-Degree Dial
The ominous Solstice for June 2017 on the 90-degree dial shows the activation of Venus and the Saturn/Hades midpoint.

That alignment alone is enough to make this an ominous solstice.

Just note what Alfred Witte had to say about the Saturn/Hades combination in his classic book on Rules for Planetary Pictures. He said it indicated:

“Poverty. Hard luck. To be separated through accidents, or unemployment. Melancholy. Trouble. Sadness. The alien. Refugees. Serious obstacles. Severe sickness or unemployment of long duration. Enemies. Enmity. Serious loss. Prison. Epidemics. Illness restrictions. Ugly habits. Matters that are either put off or never finished. To be impoverished by sickness. Isolation through sickness. Damages to the crops.”

There’s certainly not much cause for optimism in that description!

But we can refine our understanding of what we can expect in the aftermath of this ominous solstice if we consider each of the activations of that Saturn/Hades midpoint.

Venus Implications

The eighth-harmonic Venus trigger of the Saturn/Hades midpoint at the time of the solstice is an indication of poverty, filth, illicit unions, and dirty alliances. It’s associated with premature births, miscarriages, and serious abdominal diseases. Personal interactions connected with this planetary picture can range from ineffective service to extremely unpleasant associations with vulgar or unscrupulous people.

The Aries Point Trigger

With the alignment of the Saturn/Hades midpoint along the cardinal axis of the zodiac, there’s an emphasis on the likelihood of plagues, epidemics and famine in the months following the solstice. The resulting loss of life can be so devastating that it could become difficult to identify the dead. Strangers, fugitives and refugees are in the spotlight. There’s a big potential for massive job layoffs and an increase in unemployment.

The Role of the Sun

The solar activation of the Saturn/Hades midpoint signals the potential for physical frailty and illness for prominent men in key positions. There’s also the possibility for grief and losses through rejection, a sudden loss of position, or arrest and imprisonment.

In the aggregate, then, this ominous solstice represents the potential for a major challenge to established political structures, to community consciousness, and to the general welfare of the world’s populations.

If we want to cling to high-minded ideas and lofty ideals in an effort to articulate a new state of consciousness in social structures and geopolitical opportunities, we need to prepare ourselves.

This ominous solstice is stern reminder of the serious work that lies ahead.

Solar Explosion Disrupts Earth Activities

A huge solar explosion is in the news.

April had barely started when there was a massive solar explosion.

It was triggered amid increasing sunspot activity on the face of the Sun.

And it sent a big magnetic disruption hurtling toward Earth.

A Quiet Year So Far

This big event is big news.

All solar flares are in important, of course. And this solar explosion is particularly dramatic.

But it’s also a sharp contrast to what we’ve been seeing on the Sun so far this year.

The truth is, 2017 has been an unusual year for sunspot activity.

What’s been unusual, however, has been the general lack of sunspots overall.

Its been a very quiet year on the Sun so far. There haven’t been very many sunspots or major solar explosions.

Until now, that is.

A Solar Explosion With Little Warning

“Suddenly,” says NASA, “solar flare activity is high.  With little warning, sunspot AR2644 started exploding yesterday, producing an M4.4-class flare on April 1st followed by an even stronger M5-class flare on April 2nd.”

Solar Explosion CME April 1, 2017
In a huge solar explosion, there was a significant coronal mass ejection (CME) on April 1st.

The event took place against a backdrop of fresh sunspot activity. Solar storms are passing across the face of the Sun’s disc.

Sunspot activity

As seen through a telescope from this perspective, sunspots are interesting to observe.

But they look like minor blemishes compared with the overall size of the solar disc. That makes it easy to overlook their real importance.

The fact is, however, that sunspots are an indication of extremely powerful cosmic activity. It may seem to be relatively inconsequential from one perspective. But if you observe solar disturbances with different tools, you get a different picture altogether.

solar explosion UV emissions
Ultraviolet emissions from the solar explosion on April 1, 2017.

For example, you can go beyond the spectrum of visible light. The big solar explosion created ultraviolet shock waves. Their sheer intensity is one of the things that has caught the attention of earth-bound astronomers.

What Difference Does A Solar Explosion Make?

While it’s fascinating to observe all this action on the Sun, we obviously want to know about its impact on Earth.

The big solar flares on April 1 and 2 have already had an effect on earthly radio communications. That’s because they mess with the Earth’s ionosphere in a pretty big way.

Radio Blackout Zone from solar explosion
This map shows the intense zone of radio communications blackout over the Indian Ocean following the big solar explosion on April 2, 2017.

The April 1 event knocked out shortwave reception over most of the Pacific Ocean, including the coast of California. The solar explosion that followed shortly after that earlier today had a similar effect over the Indian Ocean.

Fundamentally, these disruptions have a potential ripple effect. They can impact communications and commerce. That in turn can create a noticeable effect in the markets.

That’s why they’re interesting to us as astro-traders.

And, as astro-traders, it’s instructive to look at the horoscope associated with this event.

solar explosion 90-degree dial
Heliocentric 90-Degree Dial for the Solar Explosion on April 1, 2017.

In this case, we’re using a heliocentric chart. After all, we’re interested in the action that’s taking place on the Sun.

When we look at the horoscope for the April 1 solar explosion on the 90-degree dial, we can see some of its broader potential implications. Our pointer on the dial is aimed at Earth’s position.

Inside The Midpoints

There are some powerful and intriguing activations here.

To start with, there’s an emphasis on the Neptune/Poseidon midpoint.

This literally indicates an unusual refraction of light. It’s thus appropriate for a solar flare event. But it also emphasizes potential misrepresentation, lying, and deception.

The Chiron/Vulcanus midpoint activation indicates the likelihood of sudden powerful disruptions. They can create problematic or inconvenient circumstances.

To a certain extent, we’ve already seen that happening with the big radio blackouts.

The Aries/Uranus midpoint alignment is pretty straightforward.

This event can have a sudden shocking impact on the entire planet.

And finally, the Hades/Zeus activation is fascinating.

It suggests idleness and vice. It’s a lack of purposeful activity.

And strangely enough, it’s associated with “a lack of coal.”

Wonder what that’s about?

The Donald Trump Election and W. D. Gann

It’s just been 24 days since the Donald Trump election as president of the United States.

We still haven’t completely assimilated its consequences.

The Trump election surprised the political pundits, to say the least.

We weren’t 100 percent certain about the outcome prior to election day on November 8th.

But we certainly weren’t as surprised by the Trump election as many of the television talking heads seemed to be.

After all, following the lead of top mundane astrologer Nick Campion, we had examined the transits to the natal horoscopes of the presidential candidates on inauguration day.

Trump Election Results Show At The Inauguration

Nick says that since the exact time of the new president taking office is specified by law, the inauguration chart, set for noon on January 20, 2017, is the best guide to an election’s outcome.

The transits to Hillary Clinton’s natal chart on that date aren’t particularly horrible. They aren’t particularly outstanding, either.

Trump election inauguration
The ultimate outcome of the Trump election is shown on Inauguration Day.

But Donald J. Trump’s transits are pretty spectacular.

In fact, they clearly define the expectation for a Trump election.

At the time of the Oath of Office, Venus will be in a 150-degree quincunx to Donald Trump’s natal Jupiter. That signals a particularly joyful time, although it may lack fulfillment at some level.

Venus will also be in opposition to Trump’s natal conjunction of the transneptunian factors Cupido and Apollon. This suggests a time of harmonious union with many people, with an emphasis on oratory and vocal skill.

Perhaps most importantly, however, transiting Jupiter will be trine Donald Trump’s natal Sun.

Alfred Witte describes the Sun/Jupiter combination as signifying “the cheerful man” or “fortunate rich man”.

That pretty much nails the outcome of the Trump election.

The Stock Market Reaction To The Trump Election

As the news of the Donald Trump election began to break in the early morning hours of November 9, stock market futures began to plunge. But that nose-dive didn’t last long.

Rally After Trump Election
The market rally after the Trump election continued for weeks before topping out at the New Moon.

By the time the markets officially opened at 9:30 Wednesday morning, stocks had bounced back.

They started a spectacular rally that went on for weeks.

In fact, it lasted until the next New Moon, a stressful event with an impact both in and out of the markets.

Again, this was a surprising development for many pundits, who had anticipated a market crash in the event of a Trump election.

But students of W. D. Gann weren’t surprised.

Gann’s Comments Applied To The Trump Election

In his 1923 book Truth of the Stock Tape, W. D. Gann specifically addressed the question of “After-Election Rallies” in the stock market.

“When any important election, either presidential or otherwise, take place,” Gann wrote, “and the market has pretty well discounted it, but the general public through the country figure that the event is favorable, they, of course, send in buying orders the next day after election, and stocks are strong until this demand is satisfied. It will always pay you to wait two or three days after election and see whether the market continues to move in the same direction after election as it did before.”

To add perspective current to his day, Gann mentioned the 1912 election of Woodrow Wilson. (As a side note, there’s an interesting comparison of the Trump election with that of Wilson by Bloomberg commentator Jonathan Bernstein.)

“Stocks were strong the first day after Wilson was elected the first time,” W. D. Gann noted, “but the decline started promptly after public buying orders had been filled. Always be careful of buying on top of after-election rallies. In the same way, if stocks open off and decline the first two or three days after election, be careful about selling them, as it may be only the public selling because they are scared and the insiders may support the market and start an advance.”

Good advice!

Chicago Cubs Winning Astrology

I have to admit that I’m not particularly obsessed with the Chicago Cubs.

The fact is, I’m not a huge baseball fan, but I always enjoy watching a game wherever I have an opportunity.

Typically I get involved late in the season, and by the time the playoff games are underway and we’re leading up to the World Series, I’m thoroughly engaged.

So Patty and I took time out last night to watch the Chicago Cubs clinch the National League pennant.

They beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0 in a game that featured a lot more drama than the lop-sided final score might suggest. (“The Dodgers are from Los Angeles?” Patty asked. “Where did they used to be before that?”)

Chicago Cubs Astrology

And when the game was over, I of course wanted to take a look at the planetary alignments. Here’s what I found:

Chicago Cubs 2016
Chicago Cubs Win National League Pennant in 2016

As the game came to a conclusion, Neptune was prominent near the Midheaven. The Sun had just moved into Scorpio during the course of the game, and was thus disposited by Mars and Pluto, the co-rulers of Scorpio, which were in a conjunction in the seventh house of open adversaries. It’s also worth noting the transneptunian factor Hades conjoining the Ascendant and square Jupiter, highlighting the 6 – 9 degree area of the cardinal signs.

History-Making Sports

It was a pretty dramatic lineup to say the least, and very fitting for such an historic occasion. After all, the win by the Chicago Cubs marked the first time in 71 years that the team had captured a National League title to get a trip to the World Series.

The Chicago Cubs made quite a splash back in 1945, the last time the team had won the pennant. Here’s the spread from the Chicago Tribune on September 30, 1945, the day after the Chicago Cubs had won the title by beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-4 in the first game of a double header in Pittsburgh:

cubs-1945
The Chicago Cubs got a big headline with their win at the end of September 1945.

It was quite a celebration in 1945. At that time it had been 7 years since the Chicago Cubs had taken the league title, and that 7 years had seemed like a long dry spell.

Nobody imagined then that the next drought for the Chicago Cubs would last ten times as long!

It’s interesting to note that the winning game for the Chicago Cubs on September 29, 1945 took 2 hours and 36 minutes to play. That was exactly the same duration as the winning game on October 22, 2016, which also took 2 hours and 36 minutes to play.

But a look at the horoscope for the end of the game in 1945 is even more intriguing:

The horoscope for the end of the winning game by the Chicago Clubs in 1945.
The horoscope for the end of the winning game by the Chicago Clubs in 1945.

The overall distribution of the planets in this chart is strikingly different than the winning chart in 2016. But nevertheless there are some noteworthy parallels.

Neptune had a position of prominence in the chart, since it was conjunct the Sun at the time. The Midheaven was in Scorpio, with its planetary ruler Pluto in the seventh house of open competitors. And thanks to an impressive stellium in Libra, this chart also has a strong emphasis on the 6 – 9 degree area in the cardinal signs of the zodiac.

On To The World Series

Without or without these astrological perspectives, Chicago Cubs fans clearly have a lot to celebrate.

But whether that celebration can extend into the upcoming World Series remains to be seen. After all, after the the Chicago Cubs won the pennant in 1945 they went down to defeat in that year’s World Series against Detroit.

But with any luck this year’s World Series should at least give us some interesting horoscopes to look at!

Planetary Pairs in the Markets

Planetary pairs are one of the keys to effective analysis in astro-trading.

What are planetary pairs?

Basically they’re just two different planets that are used in combination to determine the characteristics of specific market action.

Different planetary pairs can be used with different stocks.

Ideally the planets involved will not only connect with the trading action, but will also relate in some way with the characteristics of the company as well.

But even if you’ve managed to select a good pair, it may not last.

Sometimes the trading energy for a particular stock will shift, and the planetary pairs will no longer describe the trading action accurately.

When that happens it’s up to us as astro-traders to examine other potential combinations of planetary pairs. We begin the search for what’s working now.

Picking The Best Planetary Pairs For Trading

Sometimes that search can be pretty frustrating.

We may look through dozens of planetary pairs, seeking in vain for the precise combination that fits the behavior of the stock we want to trade.

At other times the process of filtering through potential planetary pairs takes almost no time at all.

With a flash of inspiration, the perfect combination seems to appear magically!

But what is it that makes the perfect combination?

Fast and Slow

Ideally, you’re looking for one fast-moving planet and one slower-moving planet.

The faster planet will often help define trading trends, while its slower-moving companion helps structure key zones of support and resistance.

And fast and slow are always comparative.

Mercury is faster than Jupiter, but Jupiter is faster than Pluto.

Generally speaking, though, when you pick a fast planet you’ll be selecting the Sun or the Moon, or Mercury, Venus, or Mars.

For slower-moving planets you’ve got lots of options.

Transneptunians As Slow Planets

The Transneptunian Factors are particularly slow moving, which can make them extremely useful in constructing planetary pairs for market analysis.
TNP Transitions Planetary Pairs

We discussed this briefly in our recent webinar on the current Admetos action. Our focus was “The Hidden Transneptunian Transition Just Ahead” – the session provided an in-depth look at some critical factors other financial astrologers have overlooked. The webinar recording is worth downloading and reviewing in detail.

W. D. Gann on Groundhog Day

,W. D. Gann had the right idea when he paid attention to Groundhog Day in an oblique kind of way.

After all, Groundhog Day is a curious bit of American folklore.

The 1993 “Groundhog Day” movie with Bill Murray created a cultural archetype. When you mention Groundhog Day, many people immediately connect the name with the notion of endlessly-repeating events.

I guess you could say that it’s like deja vu all over again….

Not Just Deja Vu

But Groundhog Day is actually a long-observed American holiday.

One that W. D. Gann knew quite well.

It had its U.S. origins with German settlers in southeastern and central Pennsylvania in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Groundhog
W. D. Gann was less concerned about this furry critter than he was about the planetary dynamics of a key calendar point.

According to the traditions associated with this annual event on Februrary 2, if it’s cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on that date, spring will come early.

If it’s sunny, on the other hand, the groundhog will see its shadow and return to hibernation as winter weather persists for six more weeks.

February 2 is also the annual date of Candlemas and of the festival of Imbolc in the Celtic calendar. More important for astro-traders, it also marks the midpoint of the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere.

W. D. Gann and the Eighth Harmonic

It thus has particular significance as an eighth-harmonic calendar point in W. D. Gann’s market calculations.

As many students of this pioneering astro-trader’s work understand, W. D. Gann deeply understood the significance of market timing. He knew that paying attention to the calendar was one of the keys to connecting price and time for more profitable trading results.

To that end, W. D. Gann focused on the dates of the solar cardinal ingresses throughout the year:

As the Sun moves into the zodiac sign of Aries, we have the vernal equinox, the start of Spring in the northern hemisphere.

With the Sun’s entry into Cancer, the summer solstice ushers in another change of season.

The Fall Equinox comes with the passage of the Sun into Libra.

And the first day of Winter in the northern hemisphere comes when the Sun moves into the zodiac sign of Capricorn.

W. D. Gann’s Innovation

But W. D. Gann took things even farther.

In working with his calendar calculations and market forecasting, W. D. Gann also paid close attention to the timing midpoints between those cardinal solar ingresses.

UranusPlutoFeb2-W.D.Gann
Uranus and Pluto are approaching a fresh waxing square alignment on Groundhog Day in 2016.

This year, however, Groundhog Day has special significance for astro-traders. Uranus and Pluto will revisit their waxing square on that date; it’s an alignment that had seven exact iterations between 2012 and 2015. Although the two planets don’t make a precise 90-degree alignment this time around, it’s worth paying attention to the market reaction.

S&P UranusPluto
This chart shows the average price movements of the S&P 500 Index for 15 days before and after the seven previous Uranus/Pluto waxing squares.

While various markets reacted to those Uranus/Pluto configurations in different ways, the manifestations outside of the markets were consistent with previous Uranus/Pluto fourth-harmonic influences: a big increase in social, religious, and political tensions, with extremism and belligerence hitting major heights.

With that kind of extra stress coming at a critical calendar point this time around, we could see disruptive or contentious influences in the news that may make their presence felt in the markets, too.

Applying W. D. Gann’s Astro-Trading Principles

As modern astro-traders, we have a clear advantage over W. D. Gann.

We not only have the opportunity to stand on his shoulders, and follow his lead in market analysis and timing our trades – we also have a tool he didn’t even dream of:

Computers.

Today, thanks to astro-trading software like the Fibonacci Trader/Galactic Trader program, we can rapidly visualize astrological dynamics in the markets through planetary price lines and other tools.

It’s advantage that is reviewed in great detail in the live workshop recordings of the program on Profitable Trading with Planetary Timing.

It’s also a key part of our Model Portfolio success with astro-trading at FinancialCyclesWeekly.com.

Sunspot Activity & The Economy

Link Between Economic Activity and Sunspots Confirmed

A gigantic sunspot – almost 80,000 miles across –can be seen on the lower center of the sun in this image from NASA’s Solar Dynamic Observatory captured on Oct. 23, 2014. This article by Bill Meridian reviews the connections between sunspot activity and the economy.

“Solar activity as measured by the number of sunspots also adds to the explanation of the probability of a recession.”

A Guest Post by Bill Meridian

Cycles Research

Once again, scholastic research has confirmed the link between planetary activity and the economy here on earth.

In the Global Conference on Business and Finance Proceedings, Volume 7, Number 2, from 2012, there is an article linking changes in the economy to sunspots. Cees J. Prins wrote ‘Solar Activity and Economic Recessions: The Case Of The US.’

Direct and Indirect Influences on the Economy

The author concluded, “The probability of a recession taking place depends on many variables. When the interest rate spread between 10 years government bonds and 3 months Treasury Bills is negative a recession is imminent. Also stock prices can give valuable information with predicting power. Solar activity as measured by the number of sunspots also adds to the explanation of the probability of a recession. In the 3 models that are estimated for 6 time periods the number of sunspots is always very significant. The sun has direct and indirect influences on the economy. To the first category belong damages to electronic networks. The indirect effects are the influences on human emotions and in the end also to the economy.”

One of the most dramatic events associated with sunspot activity is a solar flare, which can create electromagnetic phenomena that disrupt communications on Earth.
One of the most dramatic events associated with sunspot activity is a solar flare, which can create electromagnetic phenomena that disrupt communications on Earth.

Forecasting Recessions with Sunspot Activity

In his work, Prins took several variables and determined their value in forecasting recessions. He began with the inverted yield curve (short-term rates higher than long-term rates) because it is well known that this situation has led to a recession each time it has occurred.

He added variables such as stock prices, the leading indicators of the OECD and The Conference Board, the gold price, the oil price, new building permits, new job creation, corporate rate spreads, long-term rate spreads, and sunspots.

The inverted yield curve, stock market returns, and sunspots were the consistent variables in economic forecasting.

In his words, “It is clear that the model has one interesting and significant long term variable: the number of sunspots.” And, “The number of sunspots, as an indication of the activity of the sun, appeared to be a highly significant variable in explanation of a recession during all the periods investigated.”

Sunspot Activity Leads The Pack

It is noteworthy that only one traditional variable, inverted rates, consistently exceeded sunspots as a forecasting tool. Sunspots led all of the other traditional tools.

A New Buy Signal For Gold

tance, adinastro-tradingPrices for the yellow metal advanced nicely during the closing days of the trading week, triggering a new buy signal for gold in astro-trading.

At FinancialCyclesWeekly.com, we had been on a sell signal since early February, and the  move we captured with that bearish position helped us earn a ranking in the Top 5 Gold Timers in the current issue of Timer Digest.

The new buy signal for gold now aligns us with many other timers in this market – but the proof will ultimately be revealed in the market for the precious metal during the coming months.

What’s The Astrology Behind A Buy Signal For Gold?

We watch many planetary factors in our market timing, but over and over again I’ve found that interactions of the Sun and Kronos help determine significant levels of support and resistance for Gold.

Once again, we’re seeing Kronos come into play to trigger a buy signal for gold.

On Thursday, the yellow metal made a big move up and closed just above an eighth-harmonic Kronos planetary price line that had been providing significant resistance all year.

On Friday Gold traded through that line even more emphatically, pushing to an even higher close.

Gold Buy Signal Kronos
The current buy signal for gold comes from the metal’s successful penetration of price resistance provided by an eighth-harmonic planetary price line for the transneptunian Kronos.

While this latest price action aligned with Kronos is impressive, it’s also helpful to put it into perspective by looking at previous occasions when Kronos and the Sun figured prominently in defining the trading action for Gold.

For example, an article published in FinancialCyclesWeekly in September 2014 offers some insights that are still relevant today. It reveals why Kronos and the Sun are such powerful factors in trading Gold successfully, whether we are seeing a downturn in the precious metal or whether the planets are giving us a new buy signal for Gold.

An Astro-Trading Oil Prices Chart?

As I noted recently in the latest installment of the Astro-Traders Tip of the Week, the big event that astro-traders need to keep an eye on right now is the conjunction of the Sun with Neptune at 11:55 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday night, February 25.

Potential EuroZone Confusion

This alignment will take place at 7 degrees Pisces, a position that puts it in conjunction with Saturn in the May 17, 1876 horoscope for the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

While that connection suggests that we’ll want to watch for continuing developments in EU politics during the coming weeks, the Sun/Neptune combination promotes confusion and illusory thinking in general. This could mean some speculative opportunities that seem to be too good to be true (and probably are), along with duplicity, muddled market signals, and self-deception.

Why An Oil Prices Chart?

But Neptune is also traditionally associated with petroleum, so a horoscope for the conjunction tonight could in one sense be considered an oil prices chart as well.

Sun Neptune 2015 Oil Prices Chart
The 90-degree dial presentation of the horoscope for the Sun/Neptune conjunction on February 25 can function as an oil prices chart if we pay attention to the midpoint structures.

The Sun/Neptune conjunction aligns with the midpoint of Chiron and Admetos, which suggests problematic circumstances with regard to basic raw materials, including petroleum. I noted the roles of Neptune and Admetos in a recent blog post on oil prices chart considerations.

Stressful situations like this one that include a Chiron factor often turn out to be blessings in disguise, however, especially for the financial players that have hidden interests or unexpected connections.

Note as well that the Sun/Neptune conjunction also activates the Hades/Poseidon midpoint (defective thinking, unclear communications, core deficiencies). There’s also an impact here on the Uranus/Apollon alignment (the tension of uncertainty impacted by sudden shifts in supply and demand).

Stock Trading Possibilities

While all these factors contribute to the usefulness of the Sun/Neptune conjunction horoscope as an oil prices chart, there are also opportunities for profitable stock market trades that accompany the Sun/Neptune conjunction.

As we noted in a recent article at FinancialCyclesWeekly.com, “this planetary aspect typically follows an upward-trending market, which tends to culminate about nine or ten days after the alignment, prior to a strong sell-off.” That could offer some short-term trading opportunities now for savvy astro-traders – you can read about “The Sun/Neptune Conjunction and the S&P” HERE.
